Semih Gungor

Dr. Semih Gungor is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist practicing at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), Weill Medical School of Cornell University in New York City. Dr. Gungor is a graduate of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. He completed
Anesthesiology and Critical Care residency at Istanbul University School of Medicine. Thereafter, he completed his internship and residency at the Department of Anesthesiology, Weill Medical School of Cornell University in New York, followed by the Weill Cornell quad-institutional pain medicine fellowship program including New York-Presbyterian Cornell University Campus, New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Campus, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Gungor worked as a faculty and director of pain medicine at New York University, Bellevue Hospital Center before returning to Hospital for Special Surgery in 2008. He has been working as an attending physician
in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Management at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Gungor holds a faculty position at Weill Medical School of Cornell University. Dr. Gungor has been a board member of Turkish American Medical Association (TAMA) since 2018.
